I move around the garden all day long to escape the hot sun, this is the about 2 pm seating I take.
Can you see the jasmine all around the arbor, smells great in the morning and evening.
My old garden cat Pooh pick this old alley found bench to rest on.
This is in the front rose garden, Weeping China Doll tree, between two chairs that are suppose to look like shutters.
Now the day lily part, the future bloom.
I do wish I could tell you the names but I can't, most have been ordered from Paradise Gardens. Paradise Gardens premium daylilies, the BEST on the market.
If my blog had not go down and Meeems came to the rescue giving me tips on posting and my Daughter Jessica came over and fixed it I would not be able to share with you guys. Thanks you Meems and Jessica. Janis

Good job Mom looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove your new look and I love all of your seating there at Graceful Cottage.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy and happy gardening ~ FlowerLady
Love all your seating areas! Your new design of the blog is very easter! Love it! Hmm, I have not got any day lily in my garden, and can not find them anywhere for sale. Maybe I also can do mail order. Yours are lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics, and how awesome to find another daylily lover! They give so much joy for so little trouble. You should look at Peace on Earth Gardens as well for any that you might want. They are wonderful people with a small "mom and pop" nursery, and they hybridize their own as well. They are from my family hometown, and their website is a good one for ease of navigation and great pics. www.peaceonearthgardens.com

So glad you got your blog problems straightened out. I love the Easter scripture and your new Spring look! Of course you know I admire all your cute little seating arrangements and those roses! Now, you've got me loving the Daylilies. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got your blog back up and working. First, let me comment on your new wallpaper...it's great and it fits your garden perfectly. You have such wonderful seating areas throughout your garden. I'll be you really enjoy sitting in different spots and looking at all your pretty roses. And, the daylilies...also very pretty. Does the foliage stay around year round or does it disappear in the winter? I've only had luck with 2 different old-timey daylilies: a yellow and a yellow/russet color, but I love some of the other varieties.
ReplyDeleteFlowerlady and Amy, I'm glad you liked my seating, as soon as I get off the computer I will heading to those chairs.
ReplyDeleteKenneth, I can't wait to check out
www.peaceonearthgardens.com, thank you.
NanaK, Greenfest had a big daylily booth and next year that will be my purchase.
Susan, My daylilies are evergreen. Pardise gardens is a great place to shop on line for daylilies. Janis
How delightful. I definitely need to add more seating to my garden!
