Presents from the Garden

Budgets may be tight this year and not so many presents under the tree, but the garden does not know this. When I walked outside this morning with coffee in hand the garden had many gifts for me to see, all I had to do was look around.
You guys know this is my signature plant at Graceful Cottage Gardening, but after last winter big freeze in Florida I thought maybe not so much. The trumpets are still small compared to last year but what a great sight to see this morning. They remind me of musical note on a pages of sheet music. It's kind of strange most of the time variegated plants grow slower than the non variegated sibling. But my variegated angel trumpets seem stronger than the others.
This is one of my oldest, its a white one and has a very long flower about 14 inches, so very fragrant at night.
Merry Christmas from me and my potting bench. Have a blessed Christmas. Janis

  1. Janis, your Christmas tree and garden are beautiful! I love your decorative touch, it inspires me to try mixing up some of my own decorating ideas. I am trying to get more "yard art" in my garden, but it's been slow going for me. I LOVE your garden bench, my husband said he will build me one. I can hardly wait.

Thank you for the beautiful Christmas story you posted at the top of your site. You always spread the spirit and the Word, and it makes me happy to see it.

Thank you for letting me peek into your gardens, I hope Santa brings you a Christmas hummingbird, and MERRY CHRISTMAS from my garden to yours.

I enjoy your garden so much because what is inside you shows so much in your garden and in your decorating. Keep spreading the joy and Merry Christmas.

  6. I have never seen a variegated angel trumpet before. It is gorgeous! My angel trumpet has just returned and is about 4 ft. tall. Their flowers are one of my favorites. I hope tonight's cold weather doesn't finish it off permanently. Hope your angel trumpet fares well.
